Quad and dual Cortex-A53 modules with 4Kp30 H.265 video bring NXP's mainstream i.MX 8M to pin-compatible TX and 27 mm solder-down QS form factors.
Strategic Embedded has announced the TX8M-1610, TX8M-ND00, QS8M-MQ00 and QS8M-ND00 System-on-Modules — four new NXP i.MX 8M Mini and Nano-based modules covering both pin-compatible TX and 27 mm solder-down QS form factors. The launch brings NXP's mainstream 14 nm i.MX 8M Mini and Nano to Ka-Ro hardware — a Cortex-A53-class upgrade path from TX i.MX 6 designs and the modern entry point for QS Family Concept designs.

- i.MX 8M Mini (TX8M-1610 / QS8M-MQ00) — quad Cortex-A53 @ 1.6 GHz + Cortex-M4. 1 GB DDR3L. Best for HMI, gateways, multi-display.
- i.MX 8M Nano (TX8M-ND00 / QS8M-ND00) — dual Cortex-A53 @ 1.4 GHz + Cortex-M7. 512 MB DDR3L. Cost-optimised, lower power.
- Same TX or QS carrier board across both — drop in your variant by spec, not by redesign.
